Exactly 40 years ago human beings landed on the moon.  Three years later video games were invented and space travel since has gone to the dogs.  In honor of the long forgotten idea of great human potential, I present to you some free games that can train any one of you to become versed in space ship maneuvering and control.

SHUTTLE: Released in 1992 and praised as being a very accurate representation of actually flying a space shuttle.  It is now free as abandonware: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/547/Shuttle.html

ORBITER: A free space shuttle simulation that is supposedly so accurate that it is recommended to review your space shuttle manuals before playing.  It seems to have an active community with user created mods.  Located here: http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/orbit.html
